The German-French Collaboration in Science and Technology has a long and very successful tradition. The Paris Agreement on Climate Change motivated the French Embassy in Berlin and the Helmholtz-Centre Potsdam to jointly organize a bilateral 2-days Symposium on Earth System Dynamics. Among others, it highlights (i) Observation and understanding System Earth, and (ii) science and technologies for the energy transition as the main topics.
A public event at the French Embassy on the evening of the 12th September 2017 marks the official closure of the symposium. International renowned experts highlight the European and international perspective of climate change research and discuss their views with stakeholders from academia, economy, politics and civil society.
